
This session will explore the antibody detection techniques available. The participant will review antibody identification worksheets and perform "rule-in" and "rule-out" of antibodies detected. Additionally, the clinical significance of the antibody will be assessed and recommendations for the appropriate transfusion will be made.

She currently teaches in the on-line Blood Bank Technology Program offered through the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in cooperation with Blood Systems Laboratories.
