Deviation Management Program Overview

Program Description

Errors, accidents, adverse events, complaints and blood product deviations can all happen. Managing the unexpected is a key responsibility in blood banks, transfusion services and blood donor centers. This program will guide you in establishing an effective system for processing deviations, including a complete description of different approaches to root cause analysis, corrective action, and effectiveness evaluation. Documentation requirements, a central activity in Deviation Management, will be explained throughout. An effective Deviation Management system is paramount to improved outcomes, quality, and safety.
