Knowledge Management Supporting Knowledge Transfer Program Overview

Program Description

This program is designed to introduce, discuss, and detail the key criteria and terms related to developing and maintaining a dynamic Knowledge Management Program in your organization. Knowledge Management Programs provide fluid knowledge, skill, and information access for employees who in turn are encouraged to independently adapt the knowledge, skills, and information to a organization’s ever changing business environment. The Knowledge Management: Supporting Knowledge Transfer in Your Organization PACE Program examines a model for transforming information into active knowledge energy. This course is recommended for individuals who are responsible for developing and maintaining an organization’s Knowledge Management Program.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the workshop, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the elements and criteria for a Knowledge Intensive Organization
  • Identify the activities required to Collect and Codify organizational knowledge
  • Define and distinguish between Explicit and Tacit Knowledge
  • Identify barriers to creating and establishing a successful Knowledge Management Program
    • Detail and describe steps to overcome barriers
  • Identify the knowledge exchange systems that support a successful Knowledge Management Program
  • Identify and describe the elements of the Knowledge Management Model
