Fundamentals of a Successful Records Management Program Program Overview

Program Description

This session will explore the fundamentals of a successful records management system. It includes how to set up the system and maintain it electronically, what records are important to keep and how to set retention standards for your organization. The class also reviews how to meet government regulations and tips for archival storage.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the workshop, the participant will be able to:

  • Identify key components of a Records Management System.
  • Understand the strategies needed to manage a successful Records Management System.
  • Identify how to set policies and properly document a Records Management System.

Frances Pizzuto is the Records Management Specialist for Blood Systems. She has 30 years experience in Records Management and has been with Blood Systems since 2002.
