Regulatory Accreditation Program Overview

Program Description

This session will explore the regulatory and accreditation agencies that serve transfusion services. The participant will review the various agencies, AABB, FDA, CLIA, CAP, etc. Included in the program are the differences between registered and licensed establishments and the registration requirements for a transfusion service.

Upon completion of the workshop, the participant will be able to:

  • Identify the regulatory and accrediting agencies that impact Transfusion Services
  • Explain the differences between registered and licensed establishments
  • State the registration requirements for a Transfusion Service
