
This program will investigate various types of transfusion complications including non-infec-tious and infectious complications. It will explain how to recognize adverse reactions and discuss the appropriate treatment for them. Finally, the program will discuss the proper protocol for reporting transfusion complications investigations.

Marie Holub, MA, MT (ASCP) SBB has a Masters Degree in Education and has worked for Blood Systems for 16 years. Marie is the Educational Coordinator for Blood Systems Laboratories. She currently teaches in the on-line Blood Bank Technology Program offered through the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in cooperation with Blood Systems Laboratories.
